About Sally
I’ve been in the fitness industry for almost 20 years, and feel so lucky to be able to work with such a variety of ages, sizes, and abilities, to help them the achieve goals that they have set out for themselves.
Unfortunately, I have seen, experienced, and taken part of the really ugly side of fitness industry. The part that assumed everybody is happier and healthier when they are thinner. The part that turned people’s insecurities into a billion dollar industry. After doing lots of self work and education, it finally hit me that I don’t agree with those ideals, and somebody’s worth is has nothing to do with their size. Again, your worth is NOT dependent on your size.
Rather than focusing on a size or weight, I encourage movements that make you stronger physically and mentally, while addressing any physical imbalances or limitations with compassion. The “no pain no gain” mentality can be unsustainable, leading to feelings of giving up or failure, and can foster a negative relationship with food and exercise. I am not about that. Your training sessions with me will be progressive, fun, challenging, intentional, and will take into account all the various rigors of your everyday life.
